# Hovercode pricing

> Hovercode is a QR code generator. This file lists every plan, price, and limit
> in full. It is generated from Hovercode's live pricing data on 20 August 2026,
> so the numbers here always match the pricing page.

All prices are in US dollars and exclude any local sales tax or VAT. Other
currencies (GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD, NZD) are offered at checkout; see
https://hovercode.com/pricing/ for those.

## True on every plan, including the free plan

- **Unlimited scans.** There is no scan cap, no per-scan pricing, and no plan
  that stops working or starts charging once a QR code reaches a certain number
  of scans.
- **Unlimited static QR codes.** The dynamic QR code limits below do not apply
  to static codes.
- **Dynamic QR codes are included on the free plan.** A dynamic QR code's
  destination can be changed after the code is printed, and its scans are
  tracked. Most QR code generators restrict dynamic QR codes to paid plans.
- **No ads.** Hovercode never shows advertising to people who scan a QR code.
- **No credit card required** to use the free plan, which is not a time-limited
  trial.

Yearly billing costs 10 months' price for 12 months of service.

## What the limits mean

- **"In total"** is a lifetime cap on how many can exist at once. Once you reach
  it you cannot create more without deleting something or upgrading. The limit
  does not reset.
- **"Per month"** is an allowance that resets every 30 days.
- **Analytics history** is how far back you can view your scan data, not how
  long it is retained.
- **Basic analytics** shows total and unique scans. **Advanced analytics** adds
  the time of each scan, the device and browser used, and the estimated city and
  country, plus workspace-level reporting, tag grouping, and date filtering.

## If you cancel a paid plan

You are moved to the free plan. Your first 3 dynamic QR codes, first 3 short
links, and first multi-link page stay active. Anything beyond those limits
becomes inactive but is not deleted, and is reactivated automatically if you
subscribe again. QR codes, short links, and pages served from a custom domain
stop working.
